THE CONTACT LEASED A 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ C43 AMG EQUIPPED WITH PIRELLI P ZERO ALL SEASON TIRES, SIZE: P225/40/R19 (NA). ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. ALSO, THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER TIRES EXPERIENCED BLOWOUTS AND CRACKED RIMS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MERCEDES-BENZ OF NANUET (99 NY-304, NANUET, NY 10954, (845) 624-1500) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT BOTH FRONT TIRES WERE REPLACED ELEVEN TIMES. THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE TIRE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE TIRE AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,997.
245/40 R20 (FRONT) 275/35 R20 (REAR) The two front and one rear tire experienced sidewall failures within the first 25,000 of use. The tires have been disposed. I thank god that the failures did not occur at highway speed which could have caused serious injury to me and other motorists. There were no warning before the tire failures. After the third failure occurring on 2/12/23, I changed all four tires to Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season.
234/45/R18 - 94V bubble developed on exterior of front, passenger side tire AND the interior of back, passenger side tire within a year of purchasing vehicle new with this tire installed. The tire had to be replaced immediately to avoid a tire blowout.
The contact owns a 2020 Dodge Charger equipped with Pirelli Tires, Tire Line: PZero A/S, Tire Size: 305/35/R20, DOT Number: JRCDW541. The contact stated that there were cracks on the tread and in between the grooves of the tread on the tires. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and informed the contact that they were unable to assist. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
