TIRES ON 2009 ESCALADE ARE DRY ROTTING AND HAVE LOST PIECES OF THE RUBBER ON THE TIRE. THEY ALSO DO NOT HOLD AIR. I NOTICED A FEW OTHER NOTICES ON THESE TIRES BUT NO RECALL HAS OCCURRED. TIRES ARE BRIDGESTONE DUELER H/L ALENZA P285. MILEAGE ON THE TIRES IS 35099.
Properly maintained factory installed tire had a no notice sidewall blowout at 50mph. There was no load in the bed. Noticed rough ride and tire pressure system went from properly inflated to 1. Kept the tire after replacing at a Firestone dealership.
BRIDGESTONE DUELER H/L ALENZA 275/55R20 Tire sustained rapid and 100% complete airloss while driving on the highway. There were no warnings received via the vehicle tire pressure monitor system until over an hour later after the faulty tire had been changed. This is a brand new vehicle which I had only been driving for a couple of weeks. Personally only contributing to a couple hundred miles on the vehicle. There is no damage to the tire such as a puncture or foreign object. There had been no event leading up to this such as a pothole, a curb, etc.. There are multiple visible indents along the sidewall of the tire. The tire was inspected and viewed in person by roadside assistance technician as well as one dealership manager in addition to photos that were sent to home dealership and observed by manager and service manager.
While driving down a paved rural road, the tire pressure light illuminated. Pulled vehicle over to the side of the road and right rear tire was flat. Vehicle had 2100 miles on it. Did not drive over any objects, and did not impact sidewall at all. Tire just failed.
Complaints are voluntarily submitted to the NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation and are not verified by NHTSA; they represent owner-reported problems, not proven defects. Counts can be useful as a relative quality signal across comparable tires or vehicles.

Bridgestone dueler H/L alenza: what the numbers tell you
Manufacturer treadwear data for the Dueler H/L Alenza is not publicly listed. This is common for OEM-only or track-day tires that don't carry a US treadwear warranty. No mileage warranty is published for this tire, which is typical for performance summer and track-day rubber where the manufacturer doesn't make wear-life claims.
Cabin noise data for this tire is not published by the manufacturer. As a general tire built for the passenger segment, the Dueler H/L Alenza is positioned against direct rivals within the same category. Comparing it to a tire in a different category (e.g. summer vs all-season) makes the spec sheet misleading because the design targets are not the same.
The Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza has been part of Bridgestone's catalog since its introduction, and remains a current-production model.
