THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 GMC SONOMA. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE SPARE TIRE WIRE CABLE HOIST ASSEMBLY FRAY SNAPPED AND THE SPARE TIRE FELL ONTO THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 GMC SONOMA EQUIPPED WITH COOPER COBRA RADIAL G/T TIRES, SIZE: P255/60R15 (NA). THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000 AND THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 117,366.
WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEED OF 45-50 MPH ON A WET ROAD HAD TO APPLY BRAKES IN AN EMERGENCY STUATION WHICH CAUSED FRONT DRIVER'S TIRES TO BLOWOUT, AND VEHICLE HIT GUARDRAIL. VEHICLE WAS STRUCK AGAIN BY ANOTHER VEHICLE ON DRIVER'S SIDE, AND STILL BOTH AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 60 MPH RIGHT REAR TIRE HAD A TREAD SEPARATION. HAD A BLOWUP THE FIRST TIME. THEN, PULLED OVER AND SAW TREAD OFF THE TIRE. UNIROYAL P235/75 R15.*AK THE CUSTOMER STATES HE LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND GOT IN THE DITCH WHEN THE TIRE BLEW UP.
