SPARE TIRE HOIST BRACKET BROKE AND SPARE TIRE WAS SWINGING LOOSELY UNDER REAR OF TRUCK. FURTHER INVESTIGATION REVEALED SEVERAL STRESS CRACKS IN BRACKET SURROUNDING THE BOLT HOLE. IF TIRE BRACKET WOULD HAVE BROKE OFF TIRE WOULD DROP TO PAVEMENT AND BECOME A ROAD HAZARD. SOURCES AT DEALER INDICATED THEY HAD NO BULLETINS ON THIS ITEM BUT KNEW OF SOME PEOPLE WHO HAD LOST THEIR SPARE TIRES. I STILL HAVE THE PARTS.
BOUGHT A SET OF FEDERAL COURAGIA MT'S ABOUT FIVE MONTHS AGO STILL ABOUT 95% TREAD WHEN TWO OF THE TIRES SPLIT GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE. I ALSO TOOK THE TIRES BACK TO THE COMPANY I PURCHASED THEM FROM ANS THEY HAVE HAD A FEW SETS BROUGHT BACK IN THE PAST MONTH. FEDERAL SO FAR HAS REFUSED TO CREDIT ANYONE FOR THE ISSUE. THE TIRES ARE CLEARLY DEFECTIVE AND NEED TO HE RECALLED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS PHYSICALLY HURT DRIVING ON THEM.
WAS ON HIGHWAY WHEN HEARD A NOISE AND PULLED OVER TO SEE A DOUGHNUT FOR A TIRE AND RUBBER PIECES TIED AROUND TAILPIPE,_E-BRAKE AND OTHER PARTS UNDERNEATH. DAMAGED REAR PANEL THE MILEAGE AT THE TIME WAS 30100MILES COULD'VE CAUSED A BAD ACCIDENT. ALSO BROKE A CLUSTER LOST ALL METERS ON DASH.
I WAS DRIVING ON A STATE HIGHWAY AND EXPERIENCED A BLOWOUT FROM ONE OF MY HANKOOK TIRES MODEL DYNAPRO AS TIRES. SEVERE BODY DAMAGE ALL ALONG THE LEFT SIDE OF MY TRUCK WAS THE RESULT OF THIS ACCIDENT, AS I WAS PULLED INTO A CONCRETE MEDIAN BARRIER.
