MY MECHANIC INFORMED ME THAT 3 OF THE 4 TIRES HAD SERIOUS SIDEWALL DEFECTS CAUSING "BUBBLES" AND THE DANGER OF SUDDEN DEFLATION AND LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE.TOYO TIRES HAS NOT SEEMED PART( DOT NUMBER: CXDF22M047 TIRE SIZE: P195/60R14 )
THREE MICHELIN TIRES, SIZE: P195/55R15, DOT: UNKNOWN EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WHICH DEALERSHIP ATTRIBUTED TO ROAD HAZARD CONDITIONS. 1) WHILE TRAVELING 20 MPH, RIGH/REAR TIRE LOST AIR PRESSURE AFTER TRAVELING OVER A STORM GRADE; 2) WHILE TRAVELING IN TRAFFIC A METAL POLE FELL OFF OF A TRUCK AND CAUSED A BLOWOUT IN RIGHT/ FRONT TIRE, AND 3) AFTER TRAVELING 65 MPH IN A RUT ON A HIGHWAY, A BUBBLE FORMED IN SIDEWALL OF TIRE. THESE TIRES WERE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / ATTACHMENTS.
THERE WERE SOME CRACKS ON THE SIDE OF FRONT TIRE, There indeed is AIR LEAKING FROM THAT TIRE. P195/65/14, REPLACEMENT TIRES, 25000 MILES, MOUNTED ON A 1994, ACURA, INTEGERA.*AK TWO OF THE TIRES WERE REPLACED BY THE TIRE CENTER DUE TO MANUFACTURING DEFECTS. THE DEFECTS WERE DISCOVERED SEPTEMBER 2000 AT 25000 MILES. THE DEALER THEN STATED THEY WEREN'T DEFECTIVE. NOW AFTER THEY HAVE FAILED, THE TIRE RETAILER AGREED THAT THEY WERE DEFECTIVE. THE TIRES FAILED WITH LESS THAN 35000 MILES ON THEM. THE DEFECTIVE TIRES ARE YOKOHAMA MODEL A378 DOT CCDF 8BV116 P195/60R14 85H
