I HAVE 20,000 MILES ON MY CAR AND MY TIRES NEED REPLACING! I PURCHASED IT NEW IN APRIL 2012. I HAVE HAD IT FOR A YEAR AND A HALF. I DRIVE IT CAREFULLY AND HAVE THE TIRES ROTATED WHEN NEEDED. I HAD A FLAT ON MONDAY ON MY WAY TO WORK. THAT EVENING I HAD IT LOOKED AT FOR REPAIR. IT CANNOT BE REPAIRED. THE TIRE TREAD IS VERY LOW. THEY ARE BRIDGESTONE TURANZA. I BOUGHT A VAN BECAUSE I'M DRIVING CHILDREN AROUND FREQUENTLY. WHY COULDN'T NISSAN PUT BETTER TIRES ON THIS VEHICLE? OUR TIRE WENT FLAT. WE FOUND OUT A "SPECIAL" DEALER HAD TO REPAIR/REPLACE THE TIRE & THERE WAS NO SPARE DUE TO US HAVING "RUN-FLAT" (MICHELIN PAX) TIRES. WE GOT A LIST OF THE ONLY 3 DEALERS AROUND OUR AREA THAT ARE CERTIFIED FOR THESE TIRES BUT WHEN WE CALLED THEM THEY TELL US THESE TIRES HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 NISSAN QUEST. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT SECOND BEFORE THE FAILURE OCCURRED, THE ABS AND THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
THE FRONT TIRES WEAR QUICKLY ON THE OUTSIDE EDGES. BOUGHT VAN NEW AND WITHIN 5,000 MILES THE FRONT TIRES WERE BALD ON OUTSIDE EDGE OF BOTH TIRES. ALIGNMENT WAS CHECKED AND DETERMINED TO BE IN SPEC. ROTATED TIRES TO BACK AND NOW ROTATED TIRES EXHIBITING SAME WEAR PATTERN. TIRES WILL NOT PASS INSPECTION DUE TO WEAR ON OUTSIDE EDGE AND LOOSE TRACTION IN WET WEATHER.
