AFTER DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 1/4 MILE, THE CAR BEGAN TO PULL TO THE LEFT VERY STRONGLY; STRONG ENOUGH TO PULL ME INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC IF IT HAD NOT BEEN SO EARLY IN THE MORNING. I THOUGHT I HAD A FLAT TIRE BUT THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORS SAID THE PRESSURE WAS PROPER @ 36 PSI. THIS STRONG PULL LASTED ABOUT ANOTHER MILE AND THEN SUBSIDED. IT HAS OCCURRED 2 MORE TIMES SINCE THEN. DEALER HAD THE CAR FOR 2 DAYS AND INDICATED THAT PERHAPS THE ROAD WAS UNEVEN OR IT WAS JUST SENSITIVE DRIVING AND I AM NOT USED TO IT. I KNOW WHAT A CAR PULLING TO ONE SIDE FEELS LIKE AND EACH TIME THIS FEELS LIKE A FLAT TIRE. IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN I WILL NOT ALLOW MY WIFE OR ANYONE ELSE DRIVE THE CAR; IT COULD CAUSES A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 INFINITI Q50 EQUIPPED WITH DUNLOP TUBELESS TIRES, SIZE: P245/40R19 (NA). WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE DEFLATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRE SEPARATED FROM THE RIM. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED ON FIVE OTHER OCCASIONS FOR EACH OF THE OTHER TIRES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE VEHICLE AND TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
I WOULD LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE TIRES ON MY INFINITI Q50. THEY ARE DUNLOP P245/40 RF19 DOT U28T. I HAVE 20,500 MILES ON MY VEHICLE AND HAVE BLOWN 6 TIRES. ALL TIRE FAILURES HAVE BEEN CAUSE BY THE SIDEWALLS OF THE TIRES BLOWING OUT. THE MOST RECENT EVENT HAPPENED 6/4/2015 AND THE TIRE WAS IN SERVICE SINCE 4/18/2015. ALL FOUR ORIGINAL TIRES FAILED AND NOW TWO MORE HAVE FAILED. IS THERE ANY RECOURSE I HAVE AGAINST THE TIRE MANUFACTURER AND/OR CAR MANUFACTURER. THESE ARE OBVIOUSLY DEFECTIVE TIRES AND SHOULD NOT BE SOLD.
I PURCHASED A 2014 INFINITI Q50 NEW FROM THE DEALER. THE CAR HAD APPROXIMATELY 6,500 MILES ON IT WHEN THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE SIDE WALL CRACKED. THE REPAIR SHOP NOTICED THAT THE LEFT FRONT TIRE HAD A BUBBLE AND ALSO NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. BOTH FRONT TIRES WERE REPLACED THE WEEK OF 5/17/15. ONE MONTH AFTER THE REPLACEMENT, THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE SIDEWALL CRACKED AGAIN.
