How we ranked these tires for the chevrolet express

We started with the latest model-year's OEM tire size; 245/75R16; and filtered our catalog of 22,000+ tires to those offered in that exact size. From there, four parallel rankings:

For sedans and compacts, the all-season touring tire below is the best default; long warranty, low cabin noise, reasonable cost per mile. Switch to the quiet pick if highway droning is a deal-breaker; switch to the winter pick if you see significant snow each year. Use the side-by-side comparison above to weigh the trade-offs against your specific driving; highway-heavy, winter-state, performance-oriented, or budget-constrained.

Update to case 11444012 I replaced the 2 tires and Goodyear inspected my other tires and said no problem selling 3 year old tires. Now another one of these tires is cracking. I have removed the tire and it's a clear defect causing cracks and bubbles. 245/75R16 111T SL WRL AT ADVENTURE OWL Tire failed on the inside side wall while the Van was parked for about 2 hours. Tires were purchased in 2019 but has a built year of 2016. AAA service inspected the Van and could not locate reason for issue. I also examined Ring video footage during the event and did not see anything near the Vehicle at the time of the event

LT245/75R16. Driving north on I-77 around Charlotte, NC around 7:40 PM and the tire blew out. I saw in my left rearview mirror the treads roll off the right side of the highway. I did not run over anything. Travel speed was 65 to 70 mph in medium traffic. No warning lights came on. Did not lose control and was able to navigate to the left side of highway when enough space opened up after a guide rail. All that was left was the rim and shredded sidewalls. Tire was installed in August, 2025 and had just about 3000 miles on it when the blowout occurred. The passenger side of the vehicle was about 3 feet from the fog line, and traffic for the exit ramp was very close to the vehicle. Called 911 and NCDOT helped remove the rim and put on the spare. My wife and daughter were in the vehicle.

THE VALVE STEMS ON THREE OF MY TIRES WERE MALFUNCTIONING DUE TO IMPROPER DESIGN OF THE STEMS. THE PROBLEM ONLY OCCURS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. AT 70 MPH I WAS LOOSING AS MUCH AS 15 PSI OF AIR IN ONLY 10 MILES. THE AIR WAS LEAKING AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE VALVE STEMS BECAUSE OF THEIR IMPROPER DESIGN. THIS PROBLEM IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE THERE IS NO INDICATION THAT IT IS OCCURING UNTIL THE TIRE(S) GOES FLAT, WHICH, IF IT OCCURS AT HIGHWAY SPEED, COULD EASILY RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT. I WAS LUCKY AND SAW THAT MY TIRES WERE ALMOST FLAT WHEN I STOPPED FOR GAS. THE IMPROPERLY DESIGNED VALVE STEM HAS THE FOLLOWING LETTERING ON IT: SCHRADER USA TR 600 HP 150.

FAQ

What's the best all-season tire for the Chevrolet Express?
The all-season touring slate above ranks the top options for the 245/75R16 OEM size. The leader is selected by matching chevrolet-segment fitment, all-season compound class, and premium-brand quality bonus. For most Chevrolet Express owners, the all-season touring pick is the best one-tire compromise; long warranty, low noise, reasonable cost per mile.
Should I get a cheaper tire for my Chevrolet Express?
The budget slate above ranks tires by cost-per-warranty-mile, ignoring brand premium. The budget pick is genuinely competitive on durability metrics; the trade-off is shorter warranty and slightly higher cabin noise, not actual safety risk. If you drive less than 15,000 miles a year, the budget pick will outlast your replacement window regardless.
Does the Chevrolet Express need winter tires?
If you see more than 5 snow days a year or drive at sustained temperatures below 7 °C, yes; winter compounds stay pliable in cold where all-season rubber hardens, which translates directly to shorter braking distances. The winter pick above is 3PMSF severe-snow rated and works for the 245/75R16 OEM fitment. Storage cost is real (4 extra tires somewhere), but the safety margin in winter conditions is substantial.
Can I run a different tire size on my Chevrolet Express?
Plus-size and minus-size alternatives within ±3% overall diameter are typically safe per the ETRTO standard. See the 245/75R16 upsize options for the full categorised alternatives table with verdicts.
Where can I buy these tires?
Each tire links to its detail page with live pricing from our online retailer partners. Out-the-door cost (including mount, balance, TPMS service, and disposal) varies by state; use the install cost calculator for a realistic estimate.
