How we ranked these tires for the buick rendezvous
We started with the latest model-year's OEM tire size; 225/60R17; and filtered our catalog of 22,000+ tires to those offered in that exact size. From there, four parallel rankings:
- Best all-season ranks on a weighted score: tire type matches passenger car segment, season is "all-season", premium brand bonus (Michelin / Continental / Bridgestone / Pirelli / Goodyear / Nokian).
- Best budget ranks on cost-per-warranty-mile; the lower the better. Premium brands get no bonus here.
- Best quiet ranks on the EU tire-label dB rating; lower is quieter.
- Best winter filters to tires marked 3PMSF severe-snow rated or all-weather class, with a small premium-brand bonus because winter-compound R&D is capital-intensive.
For sedans and compacts, the all-season touring tire below is the best default; long warranty, low cabin noise, reasonable cost per mile. Switch to the quiet pick if highway droning is a deal-breaker; switch to the winter pick if you see significant snow each year. Use the side-by-side comparison above to weigh the trade-offs against your specific driving; highway-heavy, winter-state, performance-oriented, or budget-constrained.

WHEN TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE LOW TIRE WARNING COMES ON. STOPPING AND CHECKING FINDS NO LOW TIRES. IT HAS NOW HAPPENED SO MANY TIMES THAT WE NO LONGER STOP TO CHECK. IF WE REALLY DO HAVE A DANGEROUSLY LOW TIRE, WE COULD HAVE A TIRE FAILURE LEADING TO AN ACCIDENT. DEALER CAN'T FIND ANY PROBLEM AND IS DOING NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. BUICK CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS OF NO ASSISTANCE.
THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. THE VEHICLE HAS GOODYEAR INTEGRITY, SIZE P225/60/R17 (NA) TIRES. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO VIBRATE EXCESSIVELY. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT SPEED WAS NOT A FACTOR. A MECHANIC INFORMED HER THAT THE TIRE TREAD WAS ABNORMALLY LOW AND HAD A LOW OF 3 AND A HIGH OF 4. IN ADDITION, THE TIRE BELT FAILED. AFTER CAREFULLY INSPECTING THE TIRE, IT WAS NOTICED THAT THE BELT ON THE TIRE CONTAINED LARGE BULGES. THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT ASSIST BECAUSE THE TIRES WERE USED AND OUT OF WARRANTY. THE TIRES WERE REPLACED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 28,312.
I OWN A 2007 BUICK RENDEZVOUS. I WAS HAVING SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH THE AIRBAGS LIGHT KEPT COMING ON. THE BATTERY LIGHT KEPT COMING ON AND REPLACING THE TIRES EVERY MONTH. THE CAR WOULD SHAKE HORRIBLE AND WE HAD THE CAR ALIGNED. ON JULY THE 17 2010 MY SON HAD AN ACCIDENT AND SUFFERED A HEAD INJURY AND CUTS TO THE FACE. THE TROOPER SAID HE DID NOT HAVE ON A SEATBELT, BECAUSE HE WAS PARTIALLY EJECTED. YET THE NURSE REPORTED THAT HE HAD SEATBELT MARKS FROM ACROSS HIS SHOULDER TO HIS CHEST WHICH INDICATED HE HAD ON HIS SEATBELT. I BELIEVE THE SEATBELT CAME UNLOCK AND THAT HOW HE GOT THROWN OUT. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I HAD GMC TO CHECK IT AND THEY SAID THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS AND THIS IS NOT TRUE.
Complaints are voluntarily submitted to the NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation and are not verified by NHTSA; they represent owner-reported problems, not proven defects. Counts can be useful as a relative quality signal across comparable tires or vehicles.
