In owners' own words
Verbatim excerpts from complaints filed with NHTSA about Nokian. Reports are published by NHTSA as filed and are lightly cleaned here only to remove intake codes.
We purchased Nokian WrG3 225/60 R18 tires as replacements for the original tires, because we wanted all weather capability. They were installed in November of 2016. One tire subsequently was damaged due to road hazard; was replaced with same Nokian tire. In August, 2021, the tires needed balancing. The dealer (same place we bought them) could not balance them because three of the tires had belt separation. I did not check tire serial number, but assume them to be the original three we purchased new. We are awaiting Nokian's response, as the tires are warranted five years from installation. It is unusual three tires would all suffer belt separation, all made at the same time. Logic would say it is a manufacturing defect.
My tires are a 225/65R17. repeatedly, in heavy rain or very wet snow, the tires on mounted on the driver's side hydroplane and lose traction. I am concerned that this problem is due to the design of the tread. This is a directional tire that is only designed for the right side of the vehicle. Tires mounted on the Left side of the vehicle channel water/wet snow toward the center of the tire, causing them to hydroplane under these conditions. All other road conditions: ice, light rain, snow, dry roads, the tires are noisy but do not lose traction
All four of my 235/55R17 103V XL tires are dry rotting. They are separating and creating a crack all along the tire shoulder. I bought these tires brand new in January 2020, they are not even 3 years old yet. The tires can blow due to the dry rotting causing me to crash, getting them replaced ASAP. No warning to them getting worse, until I did a tire check early this month.
Tire size 215/55 R17 Tire model: Nokian One. All 4 tires cracked at the sidewall and thread, around or below shoulder. It is about less than 20k miles on this set of 4 Nokian One tires. They have been used for 15 months. Nokian released the Nokia One model in 2021.
Complaints are voluntarily submitted to the NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation and are not verified by NHTSA; they represent owner-reported problems, not proven defects. Counts can be useful as a relative quality signal across comparable tires or vehicles.

Nokian hakkapeliitta 10 225/45R18: what the numbers tell you
Manufacturer treadwear data for the Hakkapeliitta 10 225/45R18 is not publicly listed. This is common for OEM-only or track-day tires that don't carry a US treadwear warranty. No mileage warranty is published for this tire, which is typical for performance summer and track-day rubber where the manufacturer doesn't make wear-life claims.
Cabin noise data for this tire is not published by the manufacturer. As a general tire built for the passenger segment, the Hakkapeliitta 10 225/45R18 is positioned against direct rivals within the same category. Comparing it to a tire in a different category (e.g. summer vs all-season) makes the spec sheet misleading because the design targets are not the same.
The Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10 225/45R18 has been part of Nokian's catalog since its introduction, and remains a current-production model.
