There was a pencil mark on the inside tire wall where there was a leak. On the test drive there was a light on the dash indicating low pressure. Prior to pick up I was told it was repaired. On -27-23 I was driving the car and was lusting towards the center of the road after I regained control I had the tire checked at a tire shop and found that a patch had been put on the inside of the tire on the sidewall. The problem was reported to BBB and the dealer has not responded. I am in possession of the tire. No one has inspected the tire.
NANKANG STEEL BELTED RADIAL TIRES, TIRE SIZE P235/75R15, DOT NUMBER NOT AVAILABLE TIRES ONLY HAD 20 THOUSANDS MILES ON THEM. WHEN DRIVING 65 MPH LEFT REAR TIRE TREAD SEPARATED FROM SIDEWALL AREA, CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL.*AK THE SECOND TIRE SHREDDED WHILE THE CUSTOMER WAS TRAVELING AT 65 MPH.
IN LESS THAN 300 MILES I HAVE HAD THREE TIRE FAILURES (TREAD SEPARATING FROM THE TIRE BODY). IN TWO OF THE CASES I WAS MOVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND IN THE OTHER I FOUND THE TREAD SEPARATION DURING NORMAL INSPECTION. TIRE FAILURE ON AN RV COULD CAUSE VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENTS SHOULD THE RV SERVE OR TURNOVER CAUSING THE TOW VEHICLE DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL.
DT: THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 KOMFORT TRAILER MANUFACTURED BY THOR. THE CONTACT COMPLAINED ABOUT TIRE PROBLEMS. ONE TIRE BLEW OUT, CAUSING ANOTHER TIRE TO BLOW OUT. THE OTHER TWO TIRES HAD BULGES IN THEM BECAUSE OF THE TREAD. ALL OF THIS OCCURRED AT THE SAME TIME. THIS HAPPENED ON JULY 16TH 2005. THE TIRES MANUFACTURER NANG KUNG RUBBER TIRE COMPANY. THE BRAND NAME WAS MISSION, DOT # WEHH2732003 LOAD D8PLY, AND TIRE SIZE ST225/75R15. ON THE FRONT RIGHT IT BLEW OUT SO BADLY THAT CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO GET ANY OF THE INFORMATION. ON THE REAR LEFT TIRE. *AK
