Primacy Tour A/S

Customers report mixed experiences with these all-season tires. Many praise the exceptionally quiet, smooth ride and strong handling on highways, with reviewers consistently highlighting noise reduction and stable cornering. However, a substantial group expresses significant disappointment with premature wear, reporting tread degradation well before expected mileage—some needing replacement at 20,000 to 30,000 miles. While satisfied customers commend traction and performance, those experiencing rapid wear feel let down by durability expectations. A few note additional concerns including harmonic noise and snow performance issues. Overall, the divide between positive ride quality and negative longevity experiences creates notably split customer sentiment. This is the second time I have used the Primacy Tour A/S on my car. They are quiet, comfortable, and stable. They hold air pressure quite well. They are not very durable. The set I replaced lasted 30 K miles, even though they are rated for 45 K miles. Very comfortable and quiet ride. Replacement for the OEM Falken touring tire on a '21 Subaru Forester. Highly recommend.

Michelin Primacy Tour A/S: what the numbers tell you

The Primacy Tour A/S's UTQG treadwear rating of 540 puts it in the long-wear class. Its compound is engineered for life over outright grip, which is appropriate for an everyday touring tire. No mileage warranty is published for this tire, which is typical for performance summer and track-day rubber where the manufacturer doesn't make wear-life claims.

Cabin noise data for this tire is not published by the manufacturer. As a general tire built for the passenger segment, the Primacy Tour A/S is positioned against direct rivals within the same category. Comparing it to a tire in a different category (e.g. summer vs all-season) makes the spec sheet misleading because the design targets are not the same.
