Michelin Pilot Exalto Pe2: what the numbers tell you
A UTQG of 240 is short-life by design. This is a high-grip compound that trades wear life for grip. Expect 15,000-25,000 miles of useful tread on a daily-driven vehicle. No mileage warranty is published for this tire, which is typical for performance summer and track-day rubber where the manufacturer doesn't make wear-life claims.
Cabin noise data for this tire is not published by the manufacturer. As a all-season tire built for the truck-suv segment, the Pilot Exalto Pe2 is positioned against direct rivals within the same category. Comparing it to a tire in a different category (e.g. summer vs all-season) makes the spec sheet misleading because the design targets are not the same.
The tires are praised for their excellent grip, stability, and responsiveness in both dry and wet conditions. Reviewers highlight the smooth, quiet ride and impressive tread life. However, some note slightly lower fuel efficiency compared to other models. Overall, the tires provide a great driving experience for performance-oriented vehicles. A fine all-rounder that balances excellent winter traction & stopping performance with decent handling on wet & dry roads. They maintain great ride quality and so far seem to be wearing very well. Vehicle was ordered with 21” wheels/summer tires but opted to go down a size to 20” on winter wheels. These tires are Porsche Cayenne-specific tires and come with my highest recommendation!
