In owners' own words
Verbatim excerpts from complaints filed with NHTSA about Hankook Dynapro Ht. Reports are published by NHTSA as filed and are lightly cleaned here only to remove intake codes.
The contact owns a 2019 Entegra Odyssey RV constructed on a 2019 Ford E450 chassis equipped with Hankook Tires, Tire Line: Dynapro HT, Tire Size: LT225/75/R16, DOT Number: BCXEHUH. The contact stated that upon inflating the tires, his brother was informed that the tires needed to be replaced as they had dry rotted. Additionally, the contact stated that the tires were consistently becoming flat while driving. The Tire dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The RV dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The tires were not replaced. The RV and tire failure mileage was 6,000.
Belt separation occurred at legal highway speed, specified inflation pressure, and within load parameters of the vehicle. Many other owners have reported the same occurring. The belt separation caused the tire to be out of round and caused severe vibration. We recognized the problem because of similar reports from other owners, pulled off the road, and exchanged the tire for the spare. Within a few days we were able to procure seven new tires and have them installed. Discount Tire on Ben White in Austin probably discarded the old tires but confirmed that there was belt separation. You could see the bulging in a couple places on the tread. If we had suffered a blowout, as some other owners of this model have, it would have been life-threatening at Texas highway speeds of 75 mph.
The belts were shifting/separating from the trade of my tire. I noticed an increasing vibration in the steering which lead me to take it to a tire shop to check it out. Fortunately I had read about this issue on a forum and caught the problem before a catastrophic failure, I took the van to a Ford dealership to replace the two front tyres, and the remaining four tyres are on order in due to be replaced in the next few days. Unfortunately, I did not think to keep the tire or take any photographs. But he wasn't noticeable bulge in the tire. The tire was manufactured in the 44th week of 2000. The van was delivered to Forest River and built out as an RV in 2002.
Driver noticed excessive vibration when driving vehicle on June 17, 2025. The next day, the vehicle was taken to Mavis Tire & Brakes, Flagler Beach, FL, who confirmed a tread separation on the driver's side front tire. The tire is a HANKOOK Dynapro HT 205/75R16C. This tire is an original tire from when the vehicle was purchased new. The tire shop exchanged the faulty tire with the spare. If the vehicle were to continue to be driven, eventually the tread would have delaminated completely, causing a potential accident. This is the SECOND Hankook tire to fail this way on this vehicle. I did not report the first incident to NHTSA.
Complaints are voluntarily submitted to the NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation and are not verified by NHTSA; they represent owner-reported problems, not proven defects. Counts can be useful as a relative quality signal across comparable tires or vehicles.

Hankook dynapro ht: what the numbers tell you
Manufacturer treadwear data for the Dynapro Ht is not publicly listed. This is common for OEM-only or track-day tires that don't carry a US treadwear warranty. No mileage warranty is published for this tire, which is typical for performance summer and track-day rubber where the manufacturer doesn't make wear-life claims.
Cabin noise data for this tire is not published by the manufacturer. As a general tire built for the passenger segment, the Dynapro Ht is positioned against direct rivals within the same category. Comparing it to a tire in a different category (e.g. summer vs all-season) makes the spec sheet misleading because the design targets are not the same.
