THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE CHALLENGER EQUIPPED WITH GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 SUPERCAR TIRES, SIZE: 245/45ZR20. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THERE WAS A VIBRATION IN THE TIRES AND THE VEHICLE VEERED TO THE LEFT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT ALL FOUR TIRES WERE CRACKED ABOVE THE SIDEWALLS AND THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT TIRE WAS FLAT. THE TIRES WERE REPLACED. THE TIRES WERE THE ORIGINAL TIRES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE DOT NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE TIRE AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,100.

NHTSA complaint 1222304

TURNING INTO A FAST-FOOD PARKING LOT (ABOUT A 130 DEGREE RIGHT TURN), THE LEFT FRONT TIRE STRUCK A SHORT (2" - 3") CURB AT ABOUT 3 - 5 MPH. THE SIDEWALL, MIDWAY BETWEEN THE TREAD AND THE WHEEL RIM BLEW OUT. A JAGGED "L" SHAPED BREACH SECTION ABOUT 3" IN TOTAL LENGTH WAS CLEARLY EVIDENT. THE EDGES OF THE TEAR WERE FORCED OUTWARD FROM THE INSIDE. THE IMPACT WAS SO MINOR THAT EVEN AFTER IMMEDIATELY DEFLATING THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE WHEEL RIM.

NHTSA complaint 645981

Complaints are voluntarily submitted to the NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation and are not verified by NHTSA; they represent owner-reported problems, not proven defects. Counts can be useful as a relative quality signal across comparable tires or vehicles.

Goodyear eagle F1 supercar: what the numbers tell you

Manufacturer treadwear data for the Eagle F1 Supercar is not publicly listed. This is common for OEM-only or track-day tires that don't carry a US treadwear warranty. No mileage warranty is published for this tire, which is typical for performance summer and track-day rubber where the manufacturer doesn't make wear-life claims.

Cabin noise data for this tire is not published by the manufacturer. As a general tire built for the passenger segment, the Eagle F1 Supercar is positioned against direct rivals within the same category. Comparing it to a tire in a different category (e.g. summer vs all-season) makes the spec sheet misleading because the design targets are not the same.

Ultra high-performance and dry traction.

For an apples-to-apples comparison against direct rivals, see the comparison pages linked from this tire's brand index.
