THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 KEYSTONE MONTANA-MOUNTAINEER. THE VEHICLE HAS DURO TIRES, SIZE 225/75D15D, DISTRIBUTED BY WHAFONG TIRES. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE TREAD SEPARATED ON ALL FOUR TIRES. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT TO MAIL PICTURES. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 7,000. NO OTHER VEHICLE INFORMATION WAS AVAILABLE.
CONSUMER STATES THAT COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED FROM DEALERS THAT THE TIRE SIDEWALLS ARE SHOWING CRACKS ON NEW UNITS. *TGW THE TIRE MANUFACTURER STATED THE CRACKS IN THE TIRES WERE PURELY COSMETIC AND DID NOT AFFECT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE TIRE. THEY ALSO STATED THE MANUFACTURING PLANT IN TAIWAN HAD MIXED SOME RECLAIM COMPOUND INTO THE TIRE COMPOUND. THE RECLAIM MATERIAL WAS MATERIAL THAT IS NORMALLY USED ON THE LT TYPE TIRE AND THEY MAY HAVE PUT TOO MUCH IN THE MIX.
THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 JAYCO JAY FEATHER X17Z EQUIPPED WITH DURO XL TIRES, SIZE FT185/80/R13. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S TIRE BLEW OUT. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO UNEVEN WEAR THAT LED TO TREAD SEPARATION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
FIXING TO GO ON A TRIP IN OUR TRAVEL TRAILER MY HUSBAND DOES A PRE TRIP INSPECTION AND DISCOVERED ALL THE VALVE STEMS WERE CRACKED WE HAD TO HAVE A ROAD SIDE SERVICE GUY COME OUT AND CHANGE ALL THE VALVE STEMS FOR US COME TO FIND OUT OUR VALVE STEMS ARE ON THE RECALL TR 413.
