NOTHING WAS RUN OVER ON HIGHWAY. SEVERE, ROLL OVER ACCIDENT. MINI-VAN TOTALED. PURCHASED AT AMERICA'S TIRE 07-20-13. TIRE HAD ~ 10,000 MILES WEAR. TIRES AND PRESSURE CHECKED 8 DAYS PRIOR. THIS TIRE SEPARATED WRAPPING AROUND AXLE AND TEARING OFF REAR BUMPER, RENDERING THE VEHICLE UNSTABLE UNTIL THE RUBBER TREAD TIRE OFF. THE FACT WECOULD STOP THE VEHICLE WITHOUT COLLIDING WITH OTHER VEHICLES ON INTERSTATE 75 WAS A MIRACLE. THIS TIRE HAD ABOUT 60000 MILES ON IT BUT WAS ABOVE THE TREAD DEPTH LIMIT. FOUR TIRES WERE PURCHASED IN 1996 AND ANOTHER OF THIS SET WAS REPLACED OVER A YEAR AGO FOR DEVELOPING AN OUT OF ROUND CONDITION. THESE TIRES ARE DEADLY. *AK( DOT NUMBER: TIRE SIZE: 21570R14 )
I NOTICED A BUMP-BUMP-BUMP LIKE RUNNING OVER ROUGH ROAD WHEN I DECIDED TO SLOW DOWN FROM 70 TO ABOUT 55 AND THEN IT BLEW. I STILL HAVE THE LAST TIRE. TWO MONTHS AGO, A SISTER TIRE BLEW UNDER SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES AND WE RETURNED IT TO THE LOCAL GOODYEAR SERVICE CENTER AND THE CREDITED US SOME PART OF THE COST OF A NEW ONE (THEY SAID IT STILL HAD 15-20,000 MILES STILL LEFT IN TREAD).( DOT NUMBER: MKVF5BHR03 TIRE SIZE: P215/65R15 )

HOW CAN I DETERMINE IF THE CORRECT SIZE TIRES WERE PROPERLY INSTALLED ON MY PREVIA AFTER ALL THESE YEARS IF THE DOOR PLACARD NEVER MATCHED THE TIRE SIZE THAT CAME ON THE VEHICLE TO BEGIN WITH? I CONTACTED TOYOTA ABOUT THIS SEVERAL YEARS AGO BUT I NEVER GOT A REPLY. ONCE WHEN I WAS BUYING REPLACEMENT TIRES I HAD A DIFFICULT TIME CONVINCING THE TIRE DEALER THAT MY VAN ACTUALLY CAME WITH THE SMALLER TIRES ALREADY INSTALLED ON IT. HE DID NOT WANT TO SELL ME TIRES THAT WERE DIFFERENT THAN THE SIZR SHOWN ON THE DOOR PLACARD.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.
