THE VEHICLE WAS BOUGHT UNDER THE CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED INFINITI PROGRAM, IN 1ST 15 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP THE CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 15 TIMES, 8 TIMES FOR ONE THING ALONE. THE CAR HAS IS NOT SAFE AS IT STALLS AT TIMES ENTERING OR ACCELERATING INTO THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC, LEAVING YOU HALF IN AND HALF OUT OF, SAY AN INTERSECTION. INFINITI WANTS TO BUY THE CAR BACK BUT AT A LESS THAN REASONABLE PRICE, THEREBY BEING ABLE TOO RESELL THIS CAR AT A PROFIT TO SOME POOR CONSUMER. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
A SET OF FOUR FALCON TIRES, (235/45HR17 ZIEX), WERE PURCHASED BY CONSUMER ON SEPT 27,2001, TIRES WERE PUT ON AND BALANCED. CONSUMER WENT BACK TO MAECHANIC BECAUSE TIRES WERE STILL OUT OF BALANCE. CONSUMER WAS INFORMED TO HAVE THE ALIGNMENT CHECKED. DOING SO THE TIRES WERE STILL NOT BALANCED. CONSUMER TOOK VEHICLE TO HAVE ANOTHER TIRE SERVICE BALANCE WITH A HIGH SPEED BALANCER AND INITIALLY THE TIRES WERE BETTER FOR FOUR MONTHS WHEN THEY GOT PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. TAKING THE VEHICLE BACK TO HAVE THEM BALANCED AGAIN, CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THEY WERE BADLY CUPPED TO BE PROPERLY BALANCED. THE TIRES HAVE IMPROPER WEAR PATTERN DUE TO MIS ALIGNMENT OR RUNNING THEM AGAINST THE RECOMMENDED ROTATION PATTERN. CONSUMER IS WILLING TO TRY A NEW SET OF FALCONS OR A REFUND OF MONIES PAID.
LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON ALONG WITH LCD INFORMATION THAT VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE TAKEN TO DEALER FOR SERVICE; SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE REMOTE TIRE PRESSURE-SENSING SYSTEM. IT TOOK TWO TRIPS TO THE DEALERSHIP, A TOTAL OF FIVE DAYS, AND A LOT OF TIME WITH THE MECHANIC EITHER ONLINE OR ON THE TELEPHONE WITH AN INFINIT "HOT LINE" ELECTICAL SPECIALIST TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM: ONE DEFECTIVE TIRE PRESSURE SENSING GAUGE. TROUBLE IS, THE SAME THING HAD HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR AGO, WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY ABOUT TWO MONTHS OLD. AT THAT TIME, THE DEALERSHIP WAS ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM AND SIMPLY REPLACED A TIRE PRESSURE GAUGE. PROBLEM SOLVED. WHY, WITH THIS CAR'S PREVIOUS HISTORY, DID IT TAKE FIVE DAYS AND SEVERAL MINDS WORKING TOGETHER TO DETERMINE THAT MY CAR WAS SUFFERING FROM THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM AS A YEAR EARLIER?
WHILE DRIVING 25-30 MPH VEHICLE HIT A POT HOLE AND IT VIBRATED UNCONTROLLABLY. DRIVER WAS PULLED OVER AND NOTICED THAT THE REAR LEFT TIRE WAS FLAT. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE TIRE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK SECOND TIRE DEVELOPED A BUBBLE ON OUTSIDE YET THE TIRE HAD NO SIGN OF DAMAGE ON THE OUTSIDE, THIS HAPPENED AT 42,538 MILES. CONSUMER HAS BOTH FAULTY TIRES. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE LEFT REAR RIM AND TIRE WERE BENT AND REPLACED REAR TIRE AND RIM MOUNT AND BALANCED THE TIRES. *BF
