I BOUGHT MY 2009 GENESIS BRAND NEW IN SEPTEMBER 2009. IN APRIL, 2010, I WAS TOLD I HAD TIRE WEAR AND NEEDED NEW TIRES. TIRES WERE WEARING IN THE SAME PATTERN, CUPPING, ALONG THE EDGE. PLACED MY 5TH SET OF TIRES ON THIS GENESIS IN MARCH 2014 AND THEY ARE NOW CUPPED JUST LIKE THE FOUR SETS PRIOR. TIRES ARE ALWAYS BALANCED. HAVE HAD ALIGNMENT DONE AND CHECKED AGAIN LATER. TIRES HAVE WORN IN THE SAME PATTERN SINCE THE FIRST SET WHEN BRAND NEW. TIRE BRANDS HAVE INCLUDED DUNLOP, BRIDGESTONE, MICHELIN, YOKOHAMA, AND FIRESTONE. TECHNICIANS ARE STUMPED BY THIS FLAW.

HE INSPECTED MY TIRES AND SHOWED ME THE TIRES WERE ACTUALLY FLAKING AND I COULD SEE TIRE CORDS SHOWING ON CERTAIN PARTS OF THE OUTER EDGE. I LOOKED UP TO SEE IF A RECALL ON THE TIRE AND I COULD NOT FIND ANY MENTION OF THIS TIRE exists. WHY NOT? HUGE SAFETY CONCERN THAT HAS NOT YET BEEN ADDRESSED AND VERY FRUSTRATING TO THINK ACTION IS NOT BEING TAKEN. WAKE UP FOLKS!! I CANNOT BE THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS COMPLAINED. I WENT ONTO THE MICHELIN WEBSITE AND SAW NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS SIMILAR TO MINE ON THEIR SITE. WHAT DOES IT TAKE? A FATALITY BEFORE YOU "SPRING" INTO ACTION?
THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) DISPLAYS ERRONEOUS TIRE PRESSURE READINGS DURING COLD WEATHER CLIMATES DESPITE HAVING THE CORRECT PSI OR ADDING AIR TO REACH AN ULTIMATE PSI READING. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE WITH OTHER MODELS OF HYUNDAI VEHICLES WITH THE TPMS FEATURE ACCORDING TO OTHER OWNERS.
PURCHASED CAR NEW WITH DUNLOP SP SPORT 5000M TIRE SIZE 225/55/17 95H. AT 40MPH AND HIGHER, START HEARING A WOBBLE/DEEP GROWLING NOISE.
