THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE BLEW. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO MOVE OFF THE ROADWAY TO CHANGE THE TIRE. THE CONTACT THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A TIRE SHOP WHERE HE WAS ADVISED THAT THE VALVE STEM HAD FALLEN INSIDE THE TIRE AND CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE NUTS THAT HELD THE VALVE STEM ALSO FELL INSIDE THE TIRE. THE TIRE SHOP REPLACED THE VALVE STEM ON THE TIRE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
2006 DODGE CHARGER. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED CORROSION WAS THE REASON, THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS BROKE OFF UNEXPECTEDLY. THE CONSUMER STATED HER VEHICLE HAD 2 REAR TIRE BLOW OUTS DUE TO THE SENSORS BREAKING OFF. ONE OF THE BLOW OUTS OCCURRED IN NOVEMBER 2013, WHILE HER SON WAS DRIVING 70 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY IN THE RAIN. THE SECOND BLOW OUT OCCURRED IN MARCH 2014. THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS WERE REPLACED 5 TIMES.

TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE TO PREVENT IMMINENT BLOWOUT, BUT SAVED TIRES FOR POSTERITY. TREAD STILL EXCELLENT. CRACKS NOTED ONLY ON ONE SIDE OF SIDEWALL, NOT BOTH, SO EASY TO MISS IF ON INTERIOR FACING SIDEWALL.
