THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 BMW 3281 EQUIPPED WITH BRIDGESTONE TURANZA EL 400 TIRES, SIZE: 205/50/R17 (NA). WHILE AT A CAR WASH, A TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE TREAD WAS SEPARATING FROM AN UNKNOWN TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE TREAD SEPARATED. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE TIRE WAS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT. IN ADDITION, WHILE FUELING THE VEHICLE, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNDETERMINED. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE TIRE WAS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,000 AND THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE AND DOT NUMBER WERE UNKNOWN.
DRIVING 30 MPH TPMS LIGHT CAME ON INDICATING FRONT DRIVER TIRE LOW, GOT HOME AND TOOK TRIED TO INFLATE TIRE, WITH NO LUCK. TOOK TIRE OFF AND THE INSIDE TIRE WALL HAD BLOWN OUT. 1 MONTH LATER THE SAME BLOW OUT OCCURRED ON PASSENGER REAR TIRE. THERE WAS GOOD TREAD ON BOTH TIRES. DON'T KNOW IF IT MATTERS, BUT BOTH TIRES WHERE RUN FLAT. I HAVE CONTACTED BRIDGESTONE, BUT NO RESPONSE. I'M ATTACHING PICTURES.
I HAD INSTALLED 4 NEW TIRES [P225/45R-17 MICHELIN PRIMACY MXM4 ZP TPC SPEC, RUN FLAT] IN NOVEMBER 2017 ON MY 2011 BMW 328I. ONE YEAR LATER I STARTED TO GET TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT ON MY REAR RIGHT TIRE. WHEN I WENT TO CHECK THE AIR, I NOTICED BOTH OF MY REAR TIRES WERE BOLD LIKE RACE CAR TIRES. I CALLED TIRE RACK TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE WARRANTY, THEY ASKED ME TO BY NEW ONES AND SEND THE OLD ONES BACK. I AM JUST CONCERN WITH THE CONDITION, IF THE TIRES SHOULD GET THIS BAD BEFORE ANY WARNING. I HAVE INCLUDED THE PICTURES OF THE TIRES THAT I PLAN TO RETURN TO TIRE RACK.
I HAVE HAD 5 BLOWOUTS AND 1 TIRE HAS A BUBBLE(ABOUT TO BLOW OUT) IN 13 MONTHS. I HAVE 2 SETS OF WHEELS. THE BRIDGESTONE DRIVEGUARD TIRES HAVE HAD ALL OF THE PROBLEMS. NOT ONE PROBLEM WITH MY MICHELINS. I DRIVE ON THE SAME ROADS WITH BOTH SETS. THE SIDEWALLS ARE EXTREMELY WEAK ON THE BRIDGESTONE. IN 26 YEARS OF DRIVING, THESE ARE THE ONLY TIRES THAT I HAVE GOTTEN A BLOWOUT WITH, AND 5 IN ONE YEAR.
