Tire size: 225/50R18 95H While parked I noticed the tire tread pealing off face of tire (the part that touches the road surface) and exposing the under layers of tire rubber and internal tread shapes Almost like outside and inside tread layers separated Not sure if from road hazard or the two layers separated on their own?
I currently have Kumho Ecsta PS91 tires on my 2021 Acura TLX that was purchased brand new and 3 out of 4 tires have cracks/splits all the way around the inside and outside sidewall. My vehicle currently has 30k miles and still has plenty of tread left on them as they are rated for 45k miles. Car has always had its routine maintenance done at Acura and tires are always checked and rotation is done also. Please look into this immediately 🙏 I was traveling on an Interstate at 70 mph and this could have been a tragedy for myself and others traveling. Also have pictures to show if needed
The contact owns a 2016 Acura TLX equipped with Goodyear Tires, Tire Line: Eagle LS2, Tire Size: 225/55/R17, DOT Number: (N/A). The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, and the contact was informed that the tire was punctured. Additionally, all four tires were dry-rotted and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The tire manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 145,690.
255/R40 Passenger Front and Rear tires sustained cuts/slashes on the inside walls. Front was more severe and went flat immediately. The other went flat the following day. Subsequently, saw that my TLX may have had tire issues from the manufacturer. I didn't know this at the time and when I called the dealer, they offered no assistance. Repairs cost almost $900 for two new tires at Firestone.
