How we ranked these tires for the nissan versa
We started with the latest model-year's OEM tire size; 195/65R15; and filtered our catalog of 22,000+ tires to those offered in that exact size. From there, four parallel rankings:
- Best all-season ranks on a weighted score: tire type matches performance car segment, season is "all-season", premium brand bonus (Michelin / Continental / Bridgestone / Pirelli / Goodyear / Nokian).
- Best budget ranks on cost-per-warranty-mile; the lower the better. Premium brands get no bonus here.
- Best quiet ranks on the EU tire-label dB rating; lower is quieter.
- Best winter filters to tires marked 3PMSF severe-snow rated or all-weather class, with a small premium-brand bonus because winter-compound R&D is capital-intensive.
Performance trims trade tread life for grip. Expect summer-class compounds to wear 15,000–25,000 miles vs 50,000+ for all-season touring. The all-season recommendation below is the daily-driver compromise; the budget pick saves money for owners who want the same compound class without the brand premium. Use the side-by-side comparison above to weigh the trade-offs against your specific driving; highway-heavy, winter-state, performance-oriented, or budget-constrained.

MY NISSAN VERSA'S FRONT LEFT PASSENGER TIRE WAS LOSING AIR EVERY FEW DAYS. WHEN I TOOK IT TO AN AUTO SHOP NEARBY, THEY FOUND THAT THE ALUMINUM VALVE STEM HAS CRACKED AND THAT'S WHAT IS CAUSING THE LEAK. THIS FAULTY VALVE STEM COULD HAVE LEAD TO TIRE FAILURE AND POTENTIALLY SERIOUS ACCIDENT. PLEASE ADVISE HOW TO GO ABOUT ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE.
FUZION TOURING 185/65R15 FUZTOUR BLEW OUT ON INTERSTATE 75 NEAR WILDWOOD FLORIDA. DRIVER SIDE FRONT. REPLACED UNDER PRORATED WARRANTY. SECOND TIRE FROM SAME SET BLEW OUT IN A VERY SIMILAR FASHION ON JUNE 6, 2014 ON INTERSTATE 75. LUCKILY, NO ACCIDENT OR INJURY. CONTACTED BRIDGESTONE AND THE TIRE CHOICE WHERE PURCHASED (BY PREVIOUS OWNER). SINCE I AM NOT THE PURCHASER, THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING. MY PRIMARY CONCERN IS THAT TIRES WITH LESS THAN 11,000 MILES BLOW OUT AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.
CAR TIRED KEEP DEFLATING EVERY 2-3 DAYS. THREE TIMES STUCK AT DIFFERENT PLACES UNABLE TO MOVE MY CAR, UNTIL MY HUSBAND GET THERE TO INFLATE THE TIRED. I HAVE BEING TOLD IS THE SENSOR VALVE FOR THE TIRE WHICH CONTROL THE TPMS SYSTEM. I CALL THE DEALER IN LAUREL AND THEY CHARGE 265.00 FOR THAT, BUT MANY OF THE SAME CAR, HAD THAT PROBLEM AND FILE A RECALL.THIS CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN VERSA EQUIPPED WITH BRIDGESTONE, TIRE LINE: ECOPIA, AND TIRE SIZE: 195/55R16. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, HE DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS A BUBBLE ON THE SIDE WALL OF THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND MILEAGE OF THE TIRE AND THE VEHICLE WAS 3,069. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
Complaints are voluntarily submitted to the NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation and are not verified by NHTSA; they represent owner-reported problems, not proven defects. Counts can be useful as a relative quality signal across comparable tires or vehicles.
